Introducing our all-new 6K cinema camera
With each new year comes fresh innovations. And in spite of everything that went down in the past twelve months, 2021 is shaping up to be no different.
Even throughout lockdown, camera manufacturers have continually pushed the boundaries in developing new tech, and here at Studio Lester, we see it as our duty to stay ahead of the curve.
Ever since starting out, this commitment has enabled us to present the very best cameras, drones and gimbals to our clients, allowing us to capture stunning content in 4K resolution. But now, we’re taking things to a whole new level.
Primed and ready for action ahead of the 2021 wedding season, we’re proud to announce that we’ll now be working with one of the best movie cameras on the market - Black Magic Design’s Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.
As the name suggests, this awesome piece of kit is capable of recording RAW 6K footage, allowing us to capture more detail than ever before. What’s more, due to the camera’s impressive capabilities in relation to frame rates, achieving super-smooth slow motion footage has never been easier.
For our wedding clients, this is really great news. Whereas previously we’ve only been able to shoot weddings in 4K at a maximum frame rate of 24fps, the BMPCC6K makes it easier than ever to capture those all important slow motion shots.
By upgrading the BMPCC6K, our corporate clients will see plenty of benefits too. As a Netflix approved camera, businesses looking to make a splash online can rest safe in the knowledge that their goods are being captured in stunning ultra-high definition.
What’s more, because the BMPCC6K also boasts an EF-mount system, we’ve been able to pair our camera with some of the best Canon glass available. This includes the stunning 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM and a true, old school favourite in the 24-105mm f/4 L II USM.
Our rig also includes a Tilta cage, complete with a battery grip to allow for longer shoots, and one of our favourite ever accessories - the Nucleus Nano focus wheel - which allows us to find focus without having to take our hands off the grip.
