Creating Video Content for Social

When it comes to marketing your business online, video content is a must. 

Just check out the stats: this year alone it’s forecast that the average person will have spent 84 minutes per day watching video content online. Next year, this is set to rise to 100 minutes per day - with people turning to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube for their daily dose of grade-A content.

Case Study: Perfect Daze 

One such business is Perfect Daze - a bridal boutique based in West Yorkshire. 

Understanding the importance of a strong Instagram grid in the competitive world of bridal, the team at Perfect Daze reached out to Studio Lester in the hope of creating a suite of assets that could be shared between now and the end of the year. 

These assets would need to hit a number of key messages, helping the team to communicate the boutique’s philosophy, style and experience with its followers. Needless to say we were more than happy to offer our services, suggesting a half day shoot with the store’s founder, Emma Roberts. 

To deliver the brief, we felt the best approach would be to focus on Emma - producing a talking-head interview that allowed Perfect Daze’s founder to communicate in her own, laid back style, what sets her boutique apart from the competition. 

This interview was then cut with b-roll footage from within the boutique, showcasing the various dresses on offer while allowing users to explore the shop in a little more detail. 

The kit used on set included a Sony A7iii, allowing us to capture everything in 4K resolution, a set of LED lamps to provide three point lighting for the interviews and a Zhiyun Crane gimbal to aid the production of dynamic b-roll.

In total ten assets were produced, equipping Emma with plenty of content to deliver across the festive period. Above are just four of the assets produced, all of which have been professionally colour-graded, cut and set to license-free music.
